Prepare for product overload.
MTG Madness news
I'd like to kick off this week by thanking all the new subscribers for joining MTG Madness and for your support in our endeavor. The Squirreled Away Bloomburrow Precon deck giveaway is quickly approaching the end of its duration and we'd like to reward our subscribers with an opportunity to score extra ways to have your name entered into the pool. Everyone who shares the referral link during the final days of the giveaway will earn extra entries per the bosses, so don't be shy and get the word out to increase your chances of winning the popular preconstructed deck.

Organized play in MTG received a huge buff this week going forward with the reveal of the Spotlight Series. The main takeaway from the big news is that competitive players will have more opportunities throughout a season to play in events without having to qualify first, much like previous GP and StarCityGames events. And for those who play in the U.S., SCG is hosting the events, which is doubly exciting.
Much of the competitive meta from Bloomburrow features a variety of builds as the meta begins to settle, but don't get comfortable because Duskmourn is right around the corner. Episodes from the story have already started and a bunch of new spoilers are slated to drop on Aug. 31 from PAX West panels.
After the release of Duskmourn: House of Horrors, Foundations is slated to drop on Nov. 15. And a return to Innistrad via a Remastered set is launching after the first of the year.
No funny business

Typically, I include exclusive content within MTG Madness each week, but I'm passing on it after suffering the most recent plague going around earlier in the week, in conjunction with covering the newest World of Warcraft expansion, The War Within. Pray for me as I continue to grind to level 80 with my Frost Death Knight. If you're interested in what Blizzard has dropped through the new expansion, I highly recommend giving it a try. And if you are playing this weekend or next week when it officially launches, be sure to check out all the Dot Esports WoW guides.
